Support for Life's Challenges and Personal Growth
Individual therapy is a space to explore what's keeping you stuck, understand your patterns, and build the skills you need to move forward with clarity and confidence. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, major life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed and unsure of what comes next, therapy can help you find your footing again.
Who I Work With
Many of the people I support in individual counseling are dealing with:
Anxiety and stress that feel unmanageable—racing thoughts, constant worry, difficulty sleeping, or feeling on edge most of the time. Together, we work on understanding what triggers your anxiety and developing practical coping strategies to help you feel more grounded and in control.
Depression and emotional overwhelm that make everyday tasks feel impossible. You might feel disconnected from yourself, exhausted despite getting rest, or struggling to find meaning in things that used to matter. Therapy can help you rebuild a sense of hope and purpose.
Relationship concerns including difficult family dynamics, friendship struggles, or patterns in romantic relationships that keep showing up. Much of my individual work is informed by my couples therapy training because so much of life is shaped by the way we relate to others and to ourselves.
Life transitions such as career changes, becoming a parent, empty nesting, divorce, loss, or simply feeling like you're in a season of uncertainty. Transitions can shake our sense of identity and stability, and therapy provides a steady space to process what's shifting and what you want to create moving forward.
Women's issues including navigating societal expectations, balancing multiple roles, body image concerns, perfectionism, and the unique pressures many women face in relationships, work, and family life.
Personal growth and self-discovery even when there's no crisis. Sometimes therapy is about understanding yourself more deeply, building self-compassion, setting boundaries, or simply creating a life that feels more aligned with your values.
My Approach to Individual Therapy
I bring a warm, direct, and relational approach to individual counseling. My experience working with couples deeply informs my individual work because I understand how our relationships—with partners, family, friends, and ourselves—shape our emotional well-being.
In our sessions together, we'll focus on:
-
Understanding your patterns and how they developed, not to dwell in the past but to help you make sense of the present and create new possibilities for the future
-
Building practical skills for managing anxiety, regulating emotions, improving communication, and navigating difficult situations
-
Strengthening your relationship with yourself through self-compassion, mindfulness, and a deeper understanding of your needs and values
-
Creating meaningful change in the areas of your life that matter most to you
I integrate relational therapy, mindfulness practices, and evidence-based techniques tailored to your unique needs and goals. Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all, and we'll work together to find what resonates for you.
What to Expect
Your first session gives us space to explore what brings you in, what you're hoping for, and what support might be the best fit. There's no pressure to share everything at once—just a steady, comfortable beginning.
From there, we'll meet weekly or biweekly depending on your needs and goals. Sessions are 50 minutes, and we can adjust the pace anytime based on what's working for you.
Getting Started
I offer both in-person sessions at my Loveland, Ohio office and secure Telehealth sessions for clients throughout Ohio. I'm currently accepting new clients.
Individual session rate: $150
